The Norman E. Harpole American Legion Auxiliary Unit 61 is located in Roswell, New Mexico. We are made up of
female veterans and the spouses (which now may be male), mothers, daughters, sisters, granddaughters and grandmothers
of our nation's military men and women. We aim to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our
veterans, military and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate
our citizens, mentor youth and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. As members of the American
Legion Auxiliary (ALA) we are dedicated to our mission in the spirit of service, not self. |
If you notice folks wearing bright blue, gold trimmed vests around town they are likely Unit 61 members hard
at work. We take great pride in promoting our programs, some of which include: Americanism, community service, children
and youth, veterans affairs and rehabilitation and of course our poppy program. We were chartered in February of 2020.
We are a very active Unit and are always looking for ways to help our community, our veterans and military personnel and
their families. If you would like to be a part of Unit 61 please feel free to attend a monthly meeting, stop and chat
with one of us or follow the link, ''Membership Application'', on the right hand side the page. |
